day one

i spent the day beginning my journey to the holy land by bidding good-bye to my wonderful husband and boarding a plane in minneapolis/st.paul. we flew out of the cities at 9 am, landed in newark new jersy at around 12:30 eastern time. had time to grab a bite of lunch there and hang out for awhile before going through israeli security and boarding a 777 to Tel Aviv. our plane left newark around 4:30 and it was a fairly decent flight. lots of in flight movies, tv shows, and music to choose from. snacks and a meal of chicken, rice, and vegetables before settling in for a nap. i slept pretty well, probably because i took two dramamine after dinner! awoke to a breakfast of coffee, corn flakes and milk, a muffin and a croissant. i enjoyed the beautiful view of the meditteranean sea from the air as we landed in tel aviv. no problem at the airport with security and out into 70 degree weather! FABULOUS!!
